At The Spilt Milk Co, we handcraft all your custom keepsake jewellery with love and care. To ensure a smooth experience, take a moment to read through our terms & conditions:

1. Custom Keepsakes & Refunds

Our jewellery is handmade just for you, which makes each piece truly special. Because of this, unfortunately we can’t accept returns, or offer refunds. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. All purchases online are final and can not be refunded or exchanged due to change of mind.

2. Sending Your Inclusions

If you’re sending us your inclusions (like a lock of hair, breastmilk, pet fur, cremation ash or other special elements), please package them securely and send them to us with tracking. We’ll handle them with the utmost care, but we can’t be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. Please refer to the instructions in your confirmation email for all the packaging & sending information.

3. Receiving Your Inclusions

Once your custom keepsake is ready, we’ll carefully pack and ship it to you. You’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow your parcel’s journey. We want your keepsake to reach you safely and quickly!

4. Jewellery Care Instructions

Every keepsake will come with instructions on how to keep your jewellery looking its best. It's important to follow these to avoid damaging your keepsake.

  • Store in a cool, dry place out of sunlight.
  • Clean gently with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid water, sweat, perfumes, oils, chemicals and moisturisers.
  • Remove for sleeping, exercise, showering, etc.
  • Remember your keepsake is a very precious item of dress jewellery & not intended for everyday wear.

5. Wear & Tear

Our keepsakes are made to be cherished, but normal wear and tear can happen. Please handle your jewellery with care to keep it looking lovely for years to come.

6. Warranty

We know how much these pieces mean to you, so we back every keepsake with a guarantee you can trust. That’s why every piece from The Spilt Milk Co. comes with our 12-month craftsmanship guarantee. 

7. Ambering

Like many materials, resin undergoes natural aging. The chemical composition of resin can change over time, which may cause a yellowish tint to develop. Oils, creams, humidity & UV light can accelerate this process.

To minimise yellowing, it’s a good idea to store your resin jewellery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. While some yellowing might still occur naturally over time, proper care can help slow down the process and keep your keepsake looking lovely.

While most coloured keepsakes are designed to retain their vibrant hues over time, you might notice a slight creamy tone developing in milk keepsakes as they age. This subtle change is a natural part of the resin's aging process and is more noticeable in clear or white-based keepsakes. However, this slight creamy tone often adds to the unique character of your piece, making it even more special as a cherished memory.

8. Certificate of Authenticity

To celebrate your one of a kind piece, we include a Certificate of Authenticity with your order. This certificate verifies the uniqueness and craftsmanship of your custom jewellery and signifies that the inclusions within the keepsake are guaranteed to be 100% your own.

9. Handmade With Love

Each of our keepsakes are lovingly handmade with care and attention. This means you may find a few tiny bubbles or natural imperfections. Think of them as little birth marks that make each keepsake unique, just like you!

10. Quality Materials

We’re dedicated to using only the finest resins, sterling silver, and solid gold in our creations. Unless we specify otherwise, you can trust that we’ve chosen quality non-plated materials to ensure your keepsakes remain beautiful and cherished for years to come.

11. Colour Variations

Since all our colours are hand mixed to order, each piece will have its own unique shade. We can’t always match colours from previous work exactly, so please embrace these beautiful variations.
